Therapy for boys, young men, and emerging adults navigating identity, relationships, and modern pressures

Adolescent, teenage, and young adult therapy in San Francisco

I work with adolescent and teenage boys, young men, and emerging adults in San Francisco who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—from themselves, from others, or from a sense of direction. Often this shows up as anger or irritability, anxiety, sadness, withdrawal, or a loss of motivation, particularly during periods of family change, divorce, grief or loss, or major life transitions.

I also support individuals and families when video game or social media use begins to interfere with emotional well-being, school, work, or relationships. In therapy, we slow things down, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and work toward greater emotional resilience, self-understanding, and meaningful connection.

My approach to therapy is person-centered and depth-oriented, drawing on psychodynamic principles and evidence-based practices. I aim to offer a steady, attuned presence—where reflection, growth, and meaningful change can unfold over time. As a Bay Area native, I'm familiar with the pressures of achievement-driven environments and the toll they can take on emotional well-being and identity.

I hold a MA in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and Depth Psychology as well as a BSBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. I currently see clients through the practice of Bradford Smallwood, LMFT, who specializes in working with adolescents, anger, identity, and major life transitions.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy playing pickup basketball, a surf or skateboarding session (depending on the weather!), and sitting down to listen to some good music. When the sun's set, I value time with friends and family, comedy in any form, or a good tv series.
